MLSG have responded to the Stage 2 Pre-Application Consultation. The link takes you to the response without the pictures contained in the PDF, which is listed here also.
The Stage 1 response is still available and for Stage 2 we intend to respond both to the EDF On-Line questionnaire as well as with this more detailed response.
As one of the coastal groups along the Suffolk Coast we also take part in Suffolk Coast Against Retreat (SCAR) meetings on a regular basis. As one of the groups who are most closely associated with the Sizewell coast, we have been working with our Thorpeness colleagues, on behalf of SCAR, to respond to the Stage 2 consultation and the final response from that work is also posted here.
Please feel free to use the documents and information here as part of your own consideration before responding to EDF on the Stage 2 Pre-Application Consultation through their website or via the documents that are available from their SZC office in Leiston.
We have been very please to see that some of the comments made in our latest newsletter have also found their way into the proposed response from the Joint Local Authorities Group (SCC and SDCD) response.
It has also been very pleasing to see a very much more robust response from many of the local parish councils and the various wildlife and ecologically minded organisations such as RSPB, AONB, Suffolk Preservation Society, TEAGS and others that, in general, support and reinforce the general disquiet with the EDF proposals and the shallow nature of this consultation.
